Privacy policy

This policy covers the Illustrated Odyssey website (odyssey.shadowbrains.com), the Illustrated Odyssey channels on YouTube and Facebook, and the Shadow Brain application that publishes to those channels. All of them are run by Shadow Brain. Last updated 13 September 2026.

The website

The site is a static reading site. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no forms and no comments. It does not set cookies of its own and it does not run advertising or third-party trackers. Your reading position and preferences, if any, are kept only in your browser and never sent to us.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for a short time to operate the service. We do not combine these logs with any other data.

The Shadow Brain app

The Shadow Brain app is an internal publishing tool. Its only purpose is to upload our own videos and their captions to the Illustrated Odyssey Facebook Page and YouTube channel, and to read our own view counts. It is used by us alone.

The app does not offer login to the public, does not request access to any other person's account, and does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data about viewers, followers or commenters. The only data it touches is our own Page content and the aggregate statistics Facebook and YouTube provide to Page owners.

If you have ever granted this app access to your Facebook account and want that access removed, you can do so under Settings → Apps and Websites in Facebook. Removing it deletes any token the app held for you; we hold no other data about you to delete.
